Lenovo Copies The iPhone 6

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are the latest models to be released by Apple. They have already sold over tens of millions of units and are proving to be a massive success with users. With Apple products being so popular, there are always imitations, and today we can tell you that Lenovo, which is currently in the process of purchasing Motorola, has developed a mid-range handset that appears to be a complete copy of the iPhone 6.

This information along with photos was leaked via Weibo and while the Lenovo Sisley has yet to be released, you can see from the photos that is looks exactly like an iPhone from all angles. In fact, if you were to remove the Apple logo from the back of the iPhone 6 and replace it with Lenovos branding, you would have an exact copy of what Lenovo is planning to release. The Apple handset has receive a lot of positive reviews thanks to its high-end features and smooth operation, but the Sisley is not quite as impressive.

We dont have any details on the processor that will be used as yet, but according to sources, the Sisley will include a 13-megapixel rear facing camera. The front facing camera is said to be an 8-megapixel camera which suggests that the Sisley could be another in a growing list of selfie focused handsets.

The Sisley will have a 5-inch display but at only 720p and with no Retina HD it wont compete with the iPhone 6 in this respect. It is believed that it will be just 6.9mm thick so that will match the iPhone 6 on thinness.

Apple has always had a problem with Chinese companies producing copycat products, but given that Lenovo is a legitimate multinational company, it seem rather brazen that they would come up with such an obvious copy. If the Sisley really is on the way to our stores, we can expect to see Apple bringing legal action very soon. What do you think? Would you be prepared to purchase a copy brand if it was cheaper? Let us know in the comments below.
